Fire Prevention and Safety

"Fire Prevention and Safety" Program looks at what causes workplace fires, and what can be done to prevent them. It reviews steps that can be taken to help prevent fires, as well as what employees should do in case of a fire emergency. Among all the safety problems an employee can encounter, fire can be the most frightening. Every year workplace fires cause hundreds of millions of dollars in damage and result in numerous employee injuries, many of which are fatal. Yet many employees do not realize how their own work practices can contribute to the risk of fire. The Program includes information on common causes of workplace fires, importance of good "housekeeping", other fire prevention measures, various types of fire extinguishers, using fire extinguishers, evacuation and other employee responsibilities, first aid, and more. The Program includes Lecture, Video, Employee Handouts, Employee Quiz, and Employee Training Certificates.
